More things to know about the choir
We are starting our fifth year as the Sarnia and District Community Choir. We are looking to add to our membership of 30 spirited singers, and would love to see additional members in all four sections of the non-auditioning choir. Our rehearsals for the choir start in September to about mid May, and are held on Thursday afternoon from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and are held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Indian Road, Sarnia. The ages of the members range from 20 - 100, and no music reading skills are required, but you must be able to carry a tune. We sing primarily sacred, secular, gospel, older show tunes and light classical music. We sing at area nursing and retirement homes, and have also presented and participated in full concerts during the choir year. Special church services and occasions are also a possibility as our repertoire includes many sacred and patriotic selections. Prospective new members may sit in on the first two rehearsals free of charge before committing to joining the choir. We do have membership fee to cover costs. For more information, please send an email with the requested information on the form to the right. Come out and escape the stress of everyday life, meet new people, enrich your life, learn and enhance your musical skills!
